Power to the people

2 weeks ago I was in England. I interviewed Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval for my documentary on freedom (www.sjiekong.be). It was Robert Bauval who started talking about courage and true power.

Who's in charge?
Politicians?
No! Let's face it. the power comes from:
1 The guys with the money
2 The guys with the guns

Since the bank crisis we know that they rule over all our money. If they are bankrupt, we are!!
And it's quite obvious if one asks something to you, the choice whether you do it or not drastically changes when the guy puts a gun on your head.
When it comes to bigger issues, it's the country with the most mass destruction weapons that rules.

But we've seen something happening in Egypt.
People said STOP to one of the richest guys on the planet. Mubarak. They came together on Tahrir square with a clear message: Mubarak, leave the country NOW. So he promised stuff (money). But they wouldn't leave. So he sent the army to the square. But the people would rather die than leave.
And Mubarak left.

This was a MAJOR event!!!

WE CAN LEARN FROM THIS.
If there is something - ANYTHING! - we don't want, we CAN stop it. YES we can!
The internet is perfect to manage this, as we have seen.

Why don't we act now?

Yousef Awyan (www.khemitology.com) told me that there is a saying in Egypt that goes like this:
if evil comes to you while you are standing, sit down!
if it came to you while you are sitting down, lean!
if it came to you when you are leaning, sleep!
but if it came to you while you are sleeping, then you have to STAND UP!

Most of us are not aware that we are confronted with evil forces. We watch tv and drink beer to be able to deal with the stress that fills our lives. Why?
We live in fear.
We don't want to lose our money and our house, because we want our children to have a good live (=enough money). Since there is quite a lot of pressure on us, we don't want to lose what we have.
FEAR rules our lives. Therefore we are NOT BRAVE. We have NO COURAGE. We just walk the line.

There is another option. We can be ruled by LOVE, gather our COURAGE and start acting for the good. We would feel ALIVE as never before. We ARE able to take care for each other even if we run out of money. We CAN choose to become free, because if we do it together, we will all be there to support each other.
The only thing we have to do is stop our rushing lives, gather on a place where we can be seen and share our claims with everybody that watches.

Do you feel that facebook games really make your life dull, but you can't stay away of them? i am quite sure that it would be easy to stop them (they earn masses of money with it)
Do you think that gas prices are way to high?
Shouldn't we stop nuclear energy right away?
Wouldn't we be able to stop nuclear weapons? Don't you think the people of any country are no enemies at all in this matter, that it's only their governments that make war about these matters?
Don't you think that if all the extreme leaders in the world (the legal ones as well as the underground ones) would be bypassed people would be able to unite?

We have the power!
All we need to do is to wake up, post our ideals on the facebook and get together!

who is I?

a few days ago i asked myself a question in a way i never did before. who am i? i surprised myself coming up with the question and i was not willing to let it go without a satisfying answer.
so there i sat.
soon something came up.
i am all i did and i am how i did these things.
i am all my thoughts and how they were formed.
i am all i ate and how i did that.
i am all i said and how i said it.
...

i could probably make a complete list of this, but what struck me was that i always came back with the answer to the questions what and how. very interesting. just like everybody on this planet i drink water sometimes. that's a part of my life, of who i am, but it doesn't differ from anybody else's life. but the way i drink water could be much more personal. maybe i could even have a unique way of drinking water.

i am the answer to 'what'
i am the answer to 'how'

the answer to 'what' is always something (physical or not, doesn't matter) that is or is not. straightforward. i relate this to the male principle (as is intended in for instance astrology or i tjing).
the answer to 'how' is always an explanation. and maybe it's never finished. very complex. i relate this to the female principle.

in astrology, every tiny bit of one's life can be placed in one of the 12 houses. uneven houses are male even houses are female. keeping this in mind, a person could be described in these 12 steps:

I am
1 my body (what)
2 the way i possess  (how)
3 what i interact with
4 how i grow
5 what i create
6 how i spend my time
7 whom i'm with
8 how i receive
9 what i learn
10 how i relate to society
11 what people and groups i connect to
12 how i let go

and still...

freedom

december 2010 i decided to stop doing what i did and start doing what i want to do.
january 2011, the idea came to me that i wanted to make a documentary on freedom.
what is freedom?

being involved in the subject actively for almost 6 months now i have build an opinion on the subject.
i asked a lot of people on the streets "what is freedom to you?" most of them answer "freedom is doing whatever i want to do." at first i thought it was a quite easy or cheap answer, but not anymore because that answer brings up the question of questions: "what do i want to do??!!!"

what do i want to do?
maybe i could use a break, a nice meal, a good party, a steaming night or a trip around the world. we can all use these things once in a while, but they are no definite answers to the question : what do i want to do?
this question implies: what do i WANT to live for? what can i do for years and years because i know i am very good at it. not because i studied it, but because i've always been very good at it. as a matter of fact there is nobody that can do this better than me.

that brings us to an even more interesting question: who am i?
a few days ago, this question really hit me. what a strange question? i answer this question often when people ask. i know the answer. but do i really? we are so used to take our lives for granted. everything we know is normal because we've never known something else. by interacting with others we could come to a point where we see that our own life is unique, that everybody has its own 'normalities', that everybody takes something else for granted.

that ultimately brings me to freedom.
being free is being the best you can be.
being free is being that person that you were born to be.
being free is being connected with your true self, your true nature.
being free is being connected with nature, mother earth and all its fruits.

there's only one way to change the world and that's to change yourself.
there's only one way to change the world and that's to become free.

Regarding reptilians and other threats

I never heard about the reptilians until a friend of me came up with the idea, so i looked it up on youtube. and yes, there they were!! ready to conquer the world! Bush, Obama and others made funny moves with the eyes and tongue.

1. then i observed the people around me very carefully and i have to say that if you would have been filmed as much as presidents and rock stars, there would be tons of 'evidence' available!
2. a reptile reminds me of the symbolism that is linked to scorpio and pluto. it has to do with destruction indeed, BUT! the MOTIVE of scorpio is to create 'heaven on earth'. your life stories were very clear in this matter. sometimes you need to go through hell in order to discover heaven. scorpio and pluto is about revolution. you need to destroy the old system if you want a new one! no transformation without pain. so therefore i am not afraid of revolution, I long for it!
3. when threat and fear is involved, beware!!! whoever is in charge of our global political/economical/monetary system, they want us to fear. so if we fear reptilians or other threats, we are playing their game!!! it doesn't matter if this story is true or not, the fact is that if we believe it, we are lead by fear. why do they want us to fear? because they know that people with no fear and true belief are capable of changing the world!!!
4. the answer? if you're ever struck by fear or doubt, there is only 1 answer to all questions: LOVE.

I know i was not the only one who had the feeling that our beautiful cool cats group had something special, that we in a way represent the world that needs to change.

we (the human race) are destroying our planet and we are destroying ourselves. all we need to destroy is that system driven by fear and hatred in order to free ourselves and build a society of LOVE and non-violence!

this is a cause i am willing to die for, but i'll never fight for it. i can only pray that i'll have the power to truly love my enemy.

that's the toughest part of the battle: love your enemy

there's only 2 ways of living:

1 you choose to fear and you live your life dying

2 you choose for love and you live your life living

love to all!!

36

yesterday was my 36th birthday.
although i'm not the kind of man that celebrates himself i must admit i have been looking forward to this day for quite a while.
more than 5 years ago i lived in a house with number 36. the number has been following me. when i get in my car and start the engine, my clock shows xh36min, when i watch my distance counter, 36 is involved. number plates, phone numbers, ... anything.
every day i see 36.
I Tjing says
36. Ming I - Darkening of the light.
meaning that one who casts such a hexagram (I Tjing is a collection of 64 hexagrams and each has its own wisdom divided in 6 lines) should keep a low profile.
honestly, i want to break free!! i don't want to keep a low profile, i want to scream it out. i want to create and i want to be loved for who i am.
36 gave me the creeps for a while.
until a wise man told me that 36 is the number of an important period. in ancient china a king was locked in a dark cell for 7 years.
in these 7 years he wrote the I Tjing, which is considered one of the greatest books of wisdom.

so here i am now. sitting down, writing and being 36 years of age.
i'm extremely curious about what this age will bring me.
hoping the era of 36 has come to an end...

welcome

i've been writing ideas for more than 10 years.
i have found few people to share them because i found out that most people don't like philosophy. most people are afraid of depth, they want to live on the surface, not beneath it.
but hey, who am I to look down on that? everybody is free, right?
at least everybody should be free.

that's why I write this blog in english. my mother tongue is dutch, so my sentences could probably be clearer, but i think I can make my point clear in english.

so what's coming up?
thoughts about... anything is possible.
I am fascinated by nature and astronomy, by all the life on earth and by the human race.

so there is something to talk about heh.
